Night Time, a Keeneland sales graduate, won the 7-furlong race on a fast track in 1:23.90. He is Morey’s first winner here.
A 6-year-old horse by Majesticperfection out of the Kitten’s Joy mare Silent Joy, Night Time is owned by S B Stables, GenStar Thoroughbreds, David A. Bernsen and Omar Aldabbagh. He earned $67,890 for Wednesday’s victory, which improved his career bankroll to $488,137 with a record of 24-5-6-4.
Night Time paid $18.66, $9.88 and $5.78. W W Candy, a 35-1 longshot ridden by Abel Lezcano, returned $27.48 and $12.12 with Angkor finishing third under Rafael Bejarano and paying $4.58 to show.
