Tailgating At Keeneland
Patrons are welcome to tailgate at Keeneland in both the paved parking areas each race day and on The Hill, Keeneland's enhanced tailgating area available each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during racing season.
Offering a variety of fan-friendly amenities, enjoy food trucks, Bluegrass music, a jumbo television screen to watch live racing, wagering options and more on The Hill. The Hill is accessible via Gates 1 or 4 at no charge and complimentary shuttle service is available to the Grandstand area.

Tailgating Rules
Keeneland security and uniformed Lexington police officers actively patrol the Keeneland grounds and parking areas on live race days. Laws pertaining to disorderly conduct and underage drinking are strictly enforced. Sales, solicitation or distribution of any products is strictly prohibited across the Keeneland Grounds. Keeneland holds the right to ask for removal of any signage that exceeds the prohibited sizing or placement locations.
Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited across the Keeneland grounds.

The Hill
Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the live meet, 8 a.m. to 60 minutes following last race.
- Tailgating Tents
10x10 pop-up within parking space areas are permitted. Any tent larger than a 10x10 must be secured through Keeneland’s exclusive tailgating partner, RevelXP. Keeneland Security holds the right to ask patrons or vendors to breakdown any tents that fall outside of these parameters. Setup opens at 8 a.m. and tents must be removed 60 minutes following the last race. Click here for premium tailgating with RevelXP.
- Prohibited Items
Charcoal/wood fire open-flame cooking, open bars or kegs, balloons of any kind, inflatables, DJs or amplified sound equipment, fire pits
- Permitted Items
Tables, chairs, coolers, televisions, generators, gas grills (footprint must stay out of parking/traffic lanes), maximum size for generators is 7000-watt
- Animals
Must be kept on a leash and are not allowed to run free
- Large Cooking Devices
Please call security management for approval in advance. Non-approved cooking trailers will be asked to be removed. Contact Security at 859-288-4926 prior to arrival.
- Weather
In the event of inclement weather, The Hill amenities, parking area or other operations may be adjusted for the safety of all patrons. Like or follow Keeneland Association on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date.
The Meadow
Open race days, 8 a.m. to 60 minutes following the last race.
- Prohibited Items
Grills of any kind, tents of any kind, open bars or kegs, balloons of any kind, inflatables, DJs or amplified sound equipment
- Permitted Items
Tables, chairs, coolers, televisions, generators, gas grills (footprint must stay out of parking/traffic lanes), maximum size for generators is 7000-watt
- Animals
Must be kept on a leash and are not allowed to run free
Paved Parking Rows
Patrons parking in the paved rows may utilize one parking space per vehicle. Saving of spots is strictly prohibited.

- Permitted Items
Tables and chairs (must stay out of parking/traffic lanes)
Bus Lot
Open race days, 8 a.m. to 60 minutes following the last race.
The Bus Lot, located in front of Barns 1-3, is a paved lot for groups arriving via charter buses, limousines, school buses, etc. $10 cash fee will be collected upon entering the lot. Standard vehicles not permitted. When the lot is full, buses may also park in the Entertainment Center located near The Hill.

Take your tailgate to the next level and book a premium tailgating package on The Hill for parties of 10 to 750 with RevelXP! On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during the Fall Meet, groups of any size can arrange for a reserved tailgating package including designated tent, chairs, tables and more.
